The company has been selected to develop the Town Center components in many of San Diego County's premiere master planned communities based on its reputation for creating "special" public places that combine landscaping color and shade with water features, outdoor fireplaces, and music. The company has been featured in publications of the Congress for the New Urbanism and National Trust for Historic Preservation for its participation in the planning, entitlement, and development of San Diego's first mixed-use, transit-oriented community. This 80-acre community, known as Rio Vista West, combines multi-family residential, retail and office along the San Diego River with the convenience of an integrated trolley stop. The company recently received approval by the City of San Diego on October 21, 2008 to proceed with an adjoining mixed use 230-acre parcel known as Quarry Falls.
The company's investment policy is to develop and hold premiere properties for the long term, with specific emphasis on strong locations, high quality design and construction, and an effective mix of national, regional, and local tenants.
