The class A office building is designed to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. Designed by local architects Hanna Gabriel Wells, the buildings' sustainable features include storm water quality control, water efficient landscaping, construction waste recycling, and the use of sustainable and recyclable building materials. Thirty-five percent of the building core’s electricity will be derived from renewable resources.
The projects' forward-looking design and sustainable features also extend to the four-story, 658-space parking structure, which will include designated parking areas for fuel efficient vehicles.
"Our goal with this project was to enhance the Scripps Ranch Gateway area by providing quality LEED certified office space with an orientation to the freeways that makes it easily accessible to people who live and work in the area," said Colton Sudberry, president of Sudberry Properties.
The steel framed building with natural stone and glass facade, coupled with the natural beauty of the surrounding terrain and abundant landscaping will combine for a relaxed-yet-dynamic working environment. Abundant high performance glass will provide natural lighting as well as sweeping views of the surrounding area.
